Information Assurance SME

Provide IA technical support to the GXP Division Crane. Perform recurring compliance actions as necessary (scans and mitigations). Prepare and maintain IA compliance Plan of Action and Milestones for GXP Division. Prepare inititial and periodic updates of IA documentation to the NSWC Crane Information Assurance Manager in a timely manner. In general, ensure Platforms Division is in compliance with all IA requirements. Attend weekly GXS staff meetings and shall attend or lead meetings which are dedicated to IA compliance execution or status and technical problem meetings.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. This is an anticipated position, pending a contract award.

Logistician

Responsible for organizing, scheduling, and managing the distribution of materials in support of the Navy's H-1 platform. Position is located at NAVICP Philadelphia, PA and will require some travel.

Qualifications: Knowledge of Navy Supply System, good Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills, good communication skills both verbal and written. Preferably a retired Navy Chief or higher Aviation Electronics Technician with an H-1 Support Background. Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Database Analyst

Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's databases. Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions. Performs moderately complex server-class database activities across various platforms and environments including one or more of the following: business requirement identification and analysis; conceptual, logical, and/or physical database design; data modeling and/or mapping; moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment; performance monitoring and tuning; analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning; planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; and implementing security controls.

Qualifications: 4 year degree in IT or related field and 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. ands on experience and an expert for MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 . Hands on experience upgrading from MS SQL Server 2000 to MS SQL Server 2005 and to MS SQL Server 2008 . Hands on experience with Windows 2003 and 2008 Server. Knowledge of database replication, log shipping, data mirroring. Knowledge of performance data collection, performance monitoring and performance improvement.Knowledge of backups and recovery, Security Administration, Database and Server Performance Monitoring. Telecom Specialist

Hands-on experience designing, installing and troubleshooting cabling and wiring systems; working knowledge of current network protocols including TCP/IP, operating systems and standards; ability to operate power and hand tools, components, and peripherals. Knowledge and skill in testing, installation, programming, and maintenance of all peripheral telecommunications equipment and systems which include the PBX, voice mail, call center applications, two-way radios, cellular phones, security cameras, VHF paging systems, Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multi Point Microwave Radio systems.Configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end user telecommunications hardware, telephony devices and voice/data hardware products.Prioritize and respond to requests regarding equipment and/or connectivity problems. Inspect, test and maintain telephone lines, circuits, trunks and associated wiring and cabling. Program, troubleshoot, and maintain two-way radio communication systems, VHF paging system, and satellite communication systems. Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for telecommunications traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telecommunications systems.

Qualifications: Knowledge in the operation of personal computers, MS Office Suite and communication software programs; installation, operation and support services of PC software including MS Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and client software. Hands-on experience designing, installing and troubleshooting cabling and wiring systems; working knowledge of current network protocols including TCP/IP, operating systems and standards; ability to operate power and hand tools, components, and peripherals. Knowledge and skill in testing, installation, programming, and maintenance of all peripheral telecommunications equipment and systems which include the PBX, voice mail, call center applications, two-way radios, cellular phones, security cameras, VHF paging systems, Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multi Point Microwave Radio systems. Excellent customer service orientation and effective interpersonal and communications skills including written, verbal and listening; excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to work independently and productively and results oriented in order to complete assignments and meet deadlines. Network Specialist

Knowledgeable regarding WAN router configurations. Design and manage system-level Wide Area Network and LANs. Understand and have demonstrable expertise in TCP/IP Protocols. Design and manage network hardware, design and manage Active Directory and configure and manage servers and PC's. Set up group policies and network security and configure Win95/98/me/2000/XP on network. Build, maintain, and provide security on routers and firewalls, Install network software, oversee and maintain content filtering program and provide technical advice as required for system planning. Install and maintain network cabling.

Qualifications: BS or BA in Computer Science or a related area and 3-5 years relevant work experience required. MCSE or MCP highly desired. 5-7 years of relevant work experience desired. This is an anticipated position, pending a contract award.

Software Developer

Full lifecycle application development. Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages. Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis. Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD) in addition to software modeling and simulations. Experience in Front end graphical user interface design along with software testing and quality assurance. Experience in performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation. Support, maintain and document software functionality and integrate software with existing systems. Ability to evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation. Project Planning and Project Management experience desirted. Candidiate will maintain standards compliance.

Qualifications: BS or BA in Computer Science or a related area and 3-5 years relevant work experience required. Demonstratable experience in some of the following Programming Languages or Operating Systems will be considered: C, C++, Java, .NET, Python, J2EE, JBoss, ADO, Perl, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, Web services, XML, ASP, JSP, PHP, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, UNIX, Linux. Safety Specialist

Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations which may lead to human injury and/or property damage. Must apply advanced mathematical techniques, professional engineering principles, methods, and techniques, safety-related elements of the physical sciences, ergonomics, psychology and physiology, safety principles, standards, practices and analytical techniques, whichever applicable to reach desired goal of providing a safe work environment for all employees.

Qualifications: Advanced training in OSHA standards. This is an anticipated position, pending a contract award.

Data Technician

Maintains databases/ data files, generates reports. Develops processes for accurate and efficient data capture, storage, identification, tracking and retrieval. Communicates data requirements and specifications based on understood client needs. Designs plans to meet specified contracted data deliverables. Creates and maintains written specifications for technical/data layouts, data conversion, reports, report generation, and data entry. Ensures validity, quality and accuracy of internal and external data reports, files and all other data deliverables. Designs and manages processes for all ongoing data and report production. Manages data and report deliverables to ensure they are on time and within budget. Updates and maintains documentation of communications, decisions, processes, instructions and other project required information for all data management tasks and initiatives.

Qualifications: High-school diploma or GED along with a general knowledge of word processing and the Internet and keyboarding skills. Knowledge of spreadsheet or accounting applications. Candidate must be detail-oriented, able to concentrate for long periods, good at managing their time and communicating with supervisors and co-workers. CMMI Speciaist

The CMMI QA Auditor will be actively engaged in CMMI QA activities including audits, program reviews, peer reviews, CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) as required by internal audits. He/she will support Contract and overnment teammates in institutionalizing current CMMI practices and methodologies as well as managing auditing frequency to ensure that the Contract Unit maintains Level 3 certification. He/she will be responsible for updating the applicable CMMI PPQA related policies, procedures, artifacts and local support materials as well as supporting new programs or product development across all departments to ensure appropriate alignment and traceability to the CMMI model as well as corporate requirements. Responsibilities to Include: Conducting CMMI PPQA audits. Generate audit reports and CAPA requests as necessary related to audit findings. Support, review and coordinate CMMI document requirement definition for new programs. Coordinate necessary CMMI PPQA requirement changes with all departments within the organization. Performs other duties as assigned by management and Government leads.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Engineering or Business field is preferred. Five plus years of process related experience in a successful CMMI Level 3 implementation and engineering environment is required. Knowledge of CMMI for Development Level 3 certification requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Understand and influence CMMI roles in new product development phases. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Sharepoint. Ability to interact effectively across all levels and departments of the organization.Experience with CMMI institutionalization, deployment and hands-on training. Senior Engineer

Monitors and manages the day-to-day operations of a Government program including developing short and long-range goals, objectives and budgets, coordinating activities with other departments and agencies, overseeing records maintenance, monitoring budgets and approving and monitoring expenditures, overseeing reporting requirements, evaluating program or project service delivery and cost effectiveness; ensuring that procedures are being followed and assisting in resolving complex problems which require professional level input. Conducts advanced and complex engineering and related studies, evaluates alternatives, makes recommendations and presents reports to the Division or Department Leads. Supervises professional, technical and support staff on a day-to-day or project basis, including determining workloads and schedules, developing, implementing and interpreting policies and procedures, evaluating and training staff and making hiring and termination recommendations. Serves as project manager on a complex project, including defining project scope, selecting consultants, negotiating contracts, amendments and change orders, preparing and monitoring project schedules.

Qualifications: A minimum of 6-8 years development experience in software development; proven experience developing large-scale database-driven applications. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or the equivalent work experience. This is an anticipated position, pending a contract award.

Senior Software Engineer

Responsible for planning, processing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner. Working closely with Government and Contract Leads. Design and develop programming systems making specific determinations about system performance. Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.Review and repair legacy code. Expected to conduct system analysis and development, analyze, design, coordinate and supervise the development of software systems to form a basis for the solution of information processing problems. Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming. Responsible for developing new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product. Responsible for development of new programs, analyzes current programs and processes, and making recommendations which yield a more cost effective product. Writes, edits, and debugs new computer programs for assigned projects, including necessary records and desired output. Tests new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate; assists lower-level programmers with programming assignments. Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level. Responsible for reading, understanding, and utilizing all part and assembly prints, forms, spreadsheets, bills of material, specification sheets, and technical references. Responsible for utilizing tools and equipment involved in performance of essential functions of programming including measuring instruments.

Qualifications: A minimum of 8 years development experience in software development; proven experience developing large-scale database-driven applications. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or the equivalent work experience. This is an anticipated position, pending a contract award.
