Raydar and Associates has made capital investment in the development of a 35,000 square foot, production facility.
Raydar and Associates Production Facility includes controlled, zoned radiant heat; distributed supplied air drops;
and three-phase power 480 VAC; 100 Amp, 60 Hz throughout the entire facility.
Raydar's Production Facility features are:
- Indiana Department of Environmental Management Certified
- SSPC-QP3 certified - highest industry rating for the application of protective coatings.
- 3,780 sq. ft. high bay with a 20’ overhead door, Raydar utilized this area to assemble SPS-48E Radar Antennas.
- Media blasting area including; three media cabinet blasters, and a 576 sq ft walk in blast room. Raydar has used this area to sandblast units such as the 48E Radar Antenna, MK 82 Antenna and the SPG 62 Radar Reflector.
- Paint Booths: a 30’x14’ Cross Flow booth, and a 25’x14’ Side Draft with a connecting 308 sq ft humidity controlled drying room. This paint booth is equipped to handle CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) Painting processes and is large enough to paint an entire Humvee vehicle or the lower half of the SPS-48E Radar.
- Mixing room (215 sq ft explosion proof)
- 1080 sq ft Chromate Conversion Coating Lab, certified to meet Mil Standard 5541. Class 1A and Class 3 Coatings. The tanks are large enough to coat any Humvee parts.
- 570 sq ft humidity controlled Composite Room. This precisely controlled environment ensures precision coatings such as Butter coating, Therostrand, etc; and allows for all of the required coatings to be applied on the 62 Radar Reflectors.
- 5,200 sq ft Solder School with two solder labs and a lecture room.
- 3,128 sq ft “Assembly” building used to disassemble and re-assemble different Humvees, Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), Air Defense Communications Platform (ADCP), and New Communications Interface System (CIS) Builds.
- Powder Coat Lab with a 10’x11’x9’ Powder Coat Oven and Booth. Raydar utilized this space to powder coat the CAC2S, ADCP and CIS parts.
- Configurable open-bay fabrication space
- Electronic component repair shops
- Available spare parts storage space
- Extensive amount of sheltered, environmentally-controlled space to permit secure storage of Government furnished property.
- The property is secured and monitored by ADT.
- The Production Facility is also equipped with a 340 sq ft “Secured Room” certified by NSWC Crane as a Top Secret space. The Top Secret space has an independent security system with smoke and motion detection, mechanical locks on cage and metal entrance door, and includes an inner safe.
